Sarasota BMYA

The Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee selects local high school students each year to participate in the prestigious Bob Malkin Young Ambassadors Teen Leadership Program (BMYA) and two week mission to Israel. This educational, cultural and spiritual journey allows teens to develop leadership skills, explore who they are as individuals and as a team, and learn first-hand the importance of Israel to Jews around the world. Young Ambassadors will visit the “must-sees” of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, the Dead Sea and more. They will also encounter firsthand the ties which our community has to Israel and the projects we support. The program includes regular pre- and post- mission meetings, social events, and leadership training, which provides the participants the tools to think critically and explore their relationship to Israel and the Jewish peoplehood before and after traveling.
